A First Birthday Celebration
A big milestone for many families is the first birthday, you made it out alive through the first year and now your little baby is entering the world of toddlerhood! A cake smash shoot can be a fun activity to do for your little bundle, and you get to keep the photos to share with family & friends!
Cake Smash shoots can be a little overwhelming to some babies (especially for those who have been in lockdown for their first year!) so it is best to drop any high expectations and come relaxed, they definitely can sense pressure to perform. We really go with the babies mood, and try to help them feel as at home as possible. The following is very important for a successful shoot:
- don't bring them hungry - a happy baby is a full baby
- bring a favourite toy for distractions and comfort
- bring a change of clothes as it can get very messy. We do have a wash up area available on sight for a quick clean up afterwards which includes a bubblebath and clean towels.
Cake: The cake in this shoot is a home baked cake (hence the average looking cake) A professionally made birthday cake is best to use for the photos. You get to take the cake home to enjoy after the shoot! Please advise any allergies atleast 5 days before the shoot.
Outfits & Decor: Provided by the photographer. If parents would like to take photos with baby please arrive dressed up and ready to shoot as outfits are not available for adults.
Prints: Prints are available on request after the digital gallery is received at additional cost. Please advise on the day of the shoot if you would like any prints.
